Bible passage: Genesis 1:1
“ In the beginning God created heavens and the earth”
Dear brothers and sisters in Christ.
All saints from branch churches, and local sanctuaries. GCN viewers and all children of God who attend the worship online. From today, I am starting the Lecture on the Book of Genesis. Genesis 1:1 says, "In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth." "The beginning" in this verse refers to the point in time when God began to create the heavens and the earth.
However, in order to completely understand the works of God's creation, you should also learn God’s works prior to this 'Creation.' Since some people ignorant about the spiritual realm, you sometimes see what is not understandable happens. For example, there is research that says the Garden of Eden is located somewhere in southwestern Africa. People once said the Garden of Eden was in the Middle East, and now they say it located in Africa. Also, there is a wide diversity of opinion over the identity of UFO's that are observed in many parts of the world. Some people fear UFOs, saying they are alien creatures with advanced civilization and may attack humanity.
Now, most people believe in UFOs because the appearances of them are occurring very frequently and are being announced in many countries. Through the Genesis Lecture, the works of the Creation even before 'the Beginning' will be explained. This Genesis Lecture Series will proclaim that God is the only Creator and He alone governs the history of mankind. And it will be broadcast worldwide (via television and internet), and published as books. And thus, it will help many souls believe God the Creator, accept Jesus Christ, and reach salvation. This Genesis Lecture is also spiritually beneficial to the whole congregation.
1 John 2:13 says, "I am writing to you, fathers, because you know Him who has been from the beginning." Once you come to know God who has existed even before eternity, through this Lectures, your faith will grow even more quickly. You can reach the level of mature faith, ‘your father’s faith.’ I hope that all believers will be grateful to God the Father for raveling such deep meaning and listen to His Word with longing. I pray in the name of Jesus Christ that, as you know more about God, you may accomplish sincerity and full measure of faith to have more intimate fellowship with God. Dear brothers and sisters, let's take a brief look at Genesis. Who do you think the author of Genesis is? Just as 2 Timothy 3:16 says, "All Scripture is inspired by God," the author of Genesis is God.
And it was Moses who recorded what God said. Of course, Genesis doesn't specifically say Moses recorded Genesis. Generally speaking, however, it is believed that it was Moses recorded Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Deuteronomy, and Numbers, which are called the Five Books of Moses. From the moment of the Exodus from Egypt 'till he led the Israelites to the land of Canaan, through 40 days of fasting on Mount Sinai, Moses maintained deep communication with God, Moses received all the Law, including the Ten Commandments, and the plan of the tabernacle from God. It is usually estimated that the period when the Israelites left Egypt and lived in the wilderness was approximately 1,450-1,410 B.C. It is also said that Genesis was all recorded in that period of time, which was about 3,400 years ago. Genesis can be divided into 2 major sections. The first half is from Chapter 1 to 11. This part includes the works of the Creation, the fall of man, the Great Flood of Noah, and the account of the Tower of Babel.
The second half is from Chapter 12 to Chapter 50, which introduces the chronicles of Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, and Joseph. Now, what is the message that God desires to proclaim to you through Genesis? It is that, "God is the Creator, the LORD of all, and the governor of the history of mankind." Psalm 96:10 says, "Say among the nations, "The LORD reigns; indeed, the world is firmly established, it will not be moved; He will judge the peoples with equity."" Even though they are mere creatures before God, there are too many people who do not fear or acknowledge God the Creator. Romans 1:21-23 says, " For even though they knew God, they did not honor Him as God or give thanks, but they became futile in their speculations, and their foolish heart was darkened.
Professing to be wise, they became fools, and exchanged the glory of the incorruptible God for an image in the form of corruptible man and of birds and four-footed animals and crawling creatures." Also, Romans 1:25 says, "For they exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen." The duty of man is to stand in awe and reverent respect for God the Creator, and to live by the will of God. Men are happiest when they live like that, and they can actually acquire eternal life. However, as the end time draws nearer and nearer, you can see man's ideas and theories are against God. God is the only Creator, and He lives and works the same yesterday and today and forever.
There are many evidences that can prove God is the Creator. Romans 1:20 says, "For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly seen, being understood through what has been made, so that they are without excuse." In this way, God's eternal power and divinity can be clearly seen and understood in all things he has made. you have no excuses. So, on the day of judgment, nobody cannot make excuses for not believing ,saying “I didn’t know” People with good hearts recognize that God is living just by looking at all things in nature and live with reverence of God from their hearts. However, even those who do not have a good heart or who deny God by putting worldly knowledge and theories first, God does not abandon them. He shows them countless things that humans cannot do and that only God can do.
Even after seeing such things, God allows them to believe in God the Creator. God is working tirelessly today so that anyone can believe and achieve salvation. Therefore, we must diligently spread the living evidence of God the Creator to many people around the world. We need to make more people know that God is the Creator and fear Him. I hope that through the explanation of Genesis, believers grow their faith and come to fear and love God more. So, I pray in the name of the Lord that you will become truly worthy of the purpose for which God created humans. In order to completely understand the works of the Creation, you should learn the things that took place even before 'the Beginning.' Therefore, I'm going to explain what took place prior to the Creation, "the Beginning" for a while. The Bible doesn't record in detail the things prior to the Creation. But that doesn't mean there were none. It is just that, though they read, people don't understand.
To know God who had existed even before the beginning, I countlessly fasted and prayed to God. God began raveling Genesis to me from the 1980s, but I didn't deliver it because it was too deep to understand. At that time, there was no such good recording technology, and the longest time possible to record when the battery was fully charged was 15 minutes. Since I was receiving the words without being able to fully record it, I was unable to leave many deep meanings behind. So, after some time passed, I clung to God again, prayed, and received His word again. When the power of creation began to appear through this church, I was able to preach because it was proven that the words were true. God gave it to me and I preach it, but what good is it if you who listen and souls around the world don't understand? You can say ‘Amen’ because you are able to feel and understand God’s explosive power of creation, wonders, and signs. The spirit world is easier to explain these days because you are experiencing the spirit space. However, it can be difficult for believers who are weak in faith.
Therefore, please be careful when sharing the words of the Spirit with others. Young children should be given easy food to digest. If you give them hard food, they can have a stomachache. The same is true spiritually. 1Corinthian 3:1-2 3:1 And I, brethren, could not speak to you as to spiritual men, but as to men of flesh, as to infants in Christ. 2 I gave you milk to drink, not solid food; for you were not yet able to receive it. Indeed, even now you are not yet able, It is good to share “the Message of the Cross” or “the Measure of faith “with believers who are young in faith. And you should help them grow in faith by experiencing the evidence of God's presence.
Deep spiritual words that are difficult to understand can be confuse them and can actually be harmful to them. "The beginning," mentioned in Genesis 1:1 is the time point when God began "the Creation." However, John 1:1 also mentions "the beginning." It reads, "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God." All words in 66 books of the Bible is God, Himself. "The beginning" of John 1:1 is significantly prior to "the beginning" of Genesis 1:1. It is a point in time even much before "the Creation." It indicates a time that human beings cannot comprehend. The expression “from everlasting to everlasting” appears in the Bible. It means a distant point in time eternity ago. You can only understand the meaning of this time when learning about time in heaven.
Even if I explain it now, it won't make much sense to you. God has existed alone from the time of the 'beginning' even before the time of the 'Creation.' It is as God says in Exodus 3: 14 God said to Moses, “I AM WHO I AM” God Himself is perfect; no one gave birth to God, but He has existed all by Himself. Then what did the God. Who has existed even before the eternity, look like? Genesis 1:27 says, "God created man in His own image, in the image of God, He created male and female It says that God created the first man in the image of God Himself. Therefore, we can see that God had the appearance of a man when He created man. Then, did He exist with a look of a man from 'the beginning'? The answer is no. God didn't originally have the appearance of a man, but at a certain point in time God took on the form of a man. Before He was in the image of a man, then, what did God the Origin look like?
Imagine a scene where the infinitely wide universe is filled with beautiful lights, and the lights are flowing like waves. Here the infinitely wide universe refers to not only the universe, including the galaxy we can see, but also other heavens, including the second, third, and fourth heaven. And from the rippling light, a majestic, clear, and pure sound emanates. It is the sound that is fundamental image of God Shortly, God the Origin was filling up the whole original universe in the form of light that contained the sound. "The original universe" that I just mentioned is different from the universe you see with your eyes now. The universe you see now is the physical universe of the flesh. However, the original universe is a spiritual space.
When God the Origin existed alone, there was only a spiritual realm. The today’s physical world wasn’t needed then. In the next lecture, you will learn when the physical universe was created. Dear brothers and sisters. I told you that God the Origin had mainly the Light and the Sound. Let's take a look at the Original Light. The fundamental light has no form, but if I were to express it, it is like a flowing wave. The Waves of light was flowing throughout the universe. The original light is rainbow-colored and beautiful, dazzlingly bright and brilliant. Let's say you stack many different types of gemstones in one place and shine an intense light on them. Then, various lights will be reflected from the gems. The lights do not have any form, but the waves of light flutter like flowing waves. Among the things in this world, the one that is most similar to the original light is ‘Aurora’. ‘Aurora’ is also called ‘polar lights’ or ‘northern light’ and is ‘a luminous phenomenon that appears mainly in polar regions.’ This is a phenomenon that occurs when charged particles from the sun ionize the atmosphere above the polar regions, causing colors such as red, blue, yellow, green, and pink to appear. People who have actually seen the Aurora say that the scene is so beautiful that they never forget it.
God's original light emits a much more beautiful and brilliant light that cannot even be compared to the Aurora. An uncountable number of lights were emitted at the same time, but they blended smoothly into one and flowed like waves throughout the universe. And thus, 1 John 1:5 says, "God is Light, and in Him there is no darkness at all." Of course, this 'Light' in the verse "God is Light," has also a spiritual meaning. It is opposite to the Darkness, and untruth; such as goodness, and love correspond to this spiritual Light. God Himself is this Spiritual Light, and at the same time, His original appearance itself was the Light. And God the Origin had 'the Sound' in the Light. How can 'the Sound' be kept in the Light? Have you ever heard a sound that travels together with the wind?
The wind from the sea conveys the sound of the waves afar. The wind from a forest sometimes contains the sound of rustling leaves or trees swinging and bumping into each other. What would you hear if you stood in a field during a winter snowstorm? Just as sound is carried in the wind, God the Origin carried sound in light. His sound did not come from somewhere else, but sounded from the original light itself. And just as sound is carried by the wind and spreads wherever the wind goes, His Original sound, along with His light, spread out to the entire universe. Those who have personally heard the voice of God probably never forget that sound. Regardless of poor memory, those who personally heard the voice of God never forget what they heard. I have heard God's voice several times, and it is resounding yet remarkably clear and clean. Revelation 1:15 said that the voice of the Lord was "like the sound of many waters."
It means the voice of the Lord is so pure and clean. In this way, God's sound is so clear, transparent, sweet, and soft, yet so magnificent that it resonates throughout the universe. Even if God speaks, you cannot hear it unless your spiritual ears are opened. Why? If anyone hears it, they could die, and the sound is so loud that they cannot bear it. So, even though God volumed his voice down, how loud and clear and clean it was! While praying with my wife in my store, I heard the voice of God. My wife could feel what God was talking about through the moving of the Holy Spirit, but she could not hear His voice. but only I heard it. In the same way, wasn’t Apostle Paul like that when he met the Lord? Other people couldn't hear it, but Apostle Paul heard it. The sound was so clear and magnificent that Apostle Paul heard the voice of the Lord. When I heard God's voice, it was so grand, clear, and clean. If I had to describe this sound, it would be the sound that resonates when clear and clean crystal-like jewels hit each other.
It is similar to the sound made by thin, transparent glass hitting each other. Have any of you ever heard the sound made by the ice on a lake that had been frozen all winter melting and cracking in the spring? The sound is loud yet clear and clean. Have you ever heard a “click” sound? The sound of breaking. It is said that even in polar regions, ice that has been frozen for a long time sometimes melts and cracks. It is said that the sound that resonates is so loud, clear and clean that it spreads very far away. I mean the sound of icebergs breaking apart. It is said that the cracking sound can be heard up to a hundred miles away. It is said to be such a clear and clean sound. Of course, the sound that the original God held in the light cannot be compared to any sound in this world. However, it is compared to the sounds of this world to help understand a little. However, this ‘sound’ is the ‘word’ that appears in John 1:1. 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
The word in the beginning in the verse refers to His Original Sound. In the Bible, it names the Word, which is the essence of sound rather than the Sound. Therefore, we call Him God and He contains the content of the Word. Which is the basis of God? God, or the Word? Sure. The Word is His basis. Therefore, God is the Word Looking at Pastor Soo-jin Lee, does the name Soo-jin Lee refer to herself? She has her spirit, soul and body. They are herself. The name Soojin Lee was given to distinguish her. Moreover, the name Soo-jin Lee is not the only one in our church. She is defined by her spirit, soul and body she possesses. Her name is meant to distinguish her among the many Soo-jin Lee. Likewise, God can also define Himself by the Word that He contains and His name is God. Everyone has a name, but a name is just a title for each person. The name is not the person itself.
There is a saying that when a tiger dies, it leaves its skin, and when a person dies, it leaves a name. However, the name that is left to future generations may have thousands of identical names. Among our church members, there are cases where there are more than 100 people with the exact same full name. However, if you gather people with the same last name, there could be hundreds of people. So, the name is just a name, not the person itself. Therefore, people with the same name are not the same person. In other words, what is more important to a person than his name is his fundamental nature. God’s fundamental nature is the Word and He filled the original universe with His Light and Sound. By the way, I explained the spiritual light earlier.
The untruth, evil and sin belong to spiritual darkness and the truth, goodness and love to spiritual light. And I told you that the Sound that God the Origin kept in the Light was the Word. Thus, this 'Word' itself is the truth, goodness, and love; it shares the same attributes with the spiritual light. The attribute of God Who Himself is is called 'Spirit.' God's image is also 'Spirit' because God is the attribute of spirit itself. In other words, God has the image of 'Spirit,' not the visible image. That's why John 4:24 says that God is spirit. God the Origin compassed all universes in form of the Light that contained the Sound. It was an eternity that we cannot understand how long he was like that. God, who has been alone for eternity, once had this in His mind. ‘How happy and touched would it be if I had My children who feel for Me and love Me and understand this wide universe?’ God wanted another being who could feel everything in the universe together and share love with one another. From the beginning, God had both divinity and humanity. God wanted to share everything he had with someone else rather than enjoying it alone.
So, you have decided to start a new work. It is none other than human cultivation to obtain true children. He started the work by creating heaven and the earth that became a place for human cultivation. So, what was the first thing God did? It will continue next time. Let me conclude it. Dear brothers and sisters Tonight, I explained what God the Origin looked like God was filling the whole universe in the beautiful light of rainbow colors and in the form of the Sound that contains the Word. And why God, who existed alone planned for the Creation? It was to gain true His children who share love with Him. God began human cultivation to exchange love with His children. However, before He ever received love, He first gave limitless love. All the work of the Creation was achieved one by one in His love. A mother who is pregnant tries to prepare the best for her baby.
Before the baby is born, moms buy all the necessary items: a cradle, a stroller, diapers, etc. In order to get true children who He can share His love, God accomplished the works of the Creation with His amazing wisdom and power. I hope you always remember God’s longing heart. May you love God all the more from the innermost heart, giving God joy and happiness in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, I pray.
