Lecture 27 (The 2nd Day of Creation 2) Swahili
Bible passage: Genesis 1:6-8
“[6] Then God said, "Let there be an expanse in the midst of the waters, and let it separate the waters from the waters." [7] God made the expanse, and separated the waters which were below the expanse from the waters which were above the expanse; and it was so. [8] God called the expanse heaven. And there was evening and there was morning, a second day. ”
Dear brothers and sisters in Christ.
This is 27th Lecture on Genesis. In the last lecture, I told you about the things that happened both in the fleshly world and in the spiritual world on creation's second day. In the fleshly world, the atmosphere was created; the waters below the expanse became the sources of seas, and the waters above the expanse became the water vapor in the air. The waters both above and below the expanse began circulating forming the water cycle after the sun was created on the 4th day. To be more specific, the sea water evaporates to become water vapor due to the sun's heat, it rises into the sky by convection, condenses and becomes clouds.
The clouds are carried by the winds to many places, it condenses and then comes down as precipitation such as rain or snow. In order for a water vapor to become rain, it measures at least 0.2 millimeters in diameter. When it is smaller than this, it will evaporate while falling down to the ground, and thus it will not be rain at the surface. The rain which is smallest in diameter is called drizzle. If the temperature falls below zero, it doesn't fall as rain, but snow or other frozen precipitation. Have you ever looked closely at snow? If you take a very close look at snow, you will be amazed at the ability of God the Creator. 6.8 billion people have facial features that all look somewhat different from each other, and so do snow crystals.
