Bible passage: Genesis 1:26-27
“26. Then God said, "Let us make man in our image, in our likeness, and let them rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air, over the livestock, over all the earth, and over all the creatures that move along the ground." 27. So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them. ”
Dear brothers and sisters in Christ.
This is the 42nd Lecture on Genesis. I will tell you now about the creation of man, which is the highlight of the 6 Days of Creation. The creation of man is mentioned again in Genesis Chapter 2. So, I will tell you about it based on what the recorded scripture for today says. God said in Genesis 1:26, "Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness." And Genesis 1:27 says, "God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them." Here, "Us" refer to God the Trinity; God the Father, God the Holy Son, and God the Holy Spirit. The main agent of Creation is God the Father.
However, the Bible here clearly indicates that God the Son and God the Holy Spirit also participated into the works of Creation. Job 38:7 also says, "[when God laid the foundation of the earth] the morning stars sang together and all the sons of God shouted for joy." "The morning stars" in this verse refer to the Archangels Lucia and Luciel, and "the sons of God" refer to God the Son and God the Holy Spirit.
