Bible passage: Genesis 1:1
“ In the beginning God created heavens and the earth”
Dear brothers and sisters in the Lord.
All saints from branch churches, and local sanctuaries. GCN viewers and all children of God who attend the worship online.
This is the 7th Lecture on Genesis. Lately, you’ve been through learning difficult concepts. From today, they will be easier. You’ve learned about some names God is called. You learned God refers to God the Trinity, working together. And about the Spirit of God in the Old Testament and that in the New Testament. When you know these concepts, you will be much more touched and you can understand the overall flow of the Old and New Testaments. Next, you learned the names God the Father is called such as the Spirit of the LORD, the spirit of wisdom, the spirit of judgement and burning. Today, I will let you know other names of God.
1 Peter 4:14 says, “If you are reviled for the name of Christ, you are blessed, because the Spirit of glory and of God rests on you.” Now "the Spirit of glory" here is more than just the appearance of God’s name. "The Spirit of glory" refers to the heart of God who is worthy to receive glory. Here, it is saying that "the Spirit of glory" is "the Spirit of God." Since "God" refers to God the Trinity, "the Spirit of glory" is the same heart of all Three of God the Trinity. The heart of God the Father, the Lord and the Holy Spirit. It is because God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit are all worthy to receive glory. However, the Lord Jesus, the Son of God the Trinity, always gave all the glory to God the Father. While on this earth, our Jesus gave all the glory only to God the Father.
Are you still confused about which case is Jesus, or Jesus Christ? When we mention “Jesus”, it’s to tell the time before the Lord was crucified. When Jesus manifested signs and wonders, people gave all the glory to God the Father.
